Abilene Christian University is a private, medium sized university located in Abilene, Texas that enrolls approximately 5,000 students from all 50 states and over 60 countries. Along with its diversity comes increased difficulty identifying at-risk students, getting them the support they need, and retaining them. ACU named Pharos 360, SOS (Supporting Our Students). From its implementation in the 2003-2004 school year to the 2007-2008 year, ACU’s student referrals increased from 181 to 839 with 540 of those students not on academic probation.
Missouri Southern State University is a public, medium-sized university located in Joplin, Missouri. MSSU’s Advising, Counseling and Testing Services, Athletic Department, Behavioral Team, Project Stay, and faculty have been using Pharos 360 in order to support their students. Pharos 360’s main hub is utilized in MSSU’s Project Stay program to identify students in need, track student’s progress, safely store case notes, connect students to needed resources, gather data for reporting and much more. Lyndon State College is a small, public university located in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont overlooking the Passumpsic River and the Burke Mountain Ski Resort. Lyndon State College offers 23 undergraduate majors and 9 associate degree programs. They named their system FYI Alert and are using it as their Early Alert System portion of Project Compass.
Oklahoma Christian University is a four-year, private university in Oklahoma City, OK. They emphasize spiritual growth and career preparedness. The eagles have been a lot of fun to work with so far and clearly care about their students. They named their system “Lighthouse”.
Waynesburg University is a private, comprehensive Christian university in Pennsylvania. There are around 2,500 Jackets who contribute many hours of community service each year to the Pennsylvania community.
Lubbock Christian University is a small, private university located in Lubbock, Texas. LCU uses Pharos 360 on their campus because they are passionate about the educational and personal success of their 2,000 students. They named their system Shepherd and see it as an opportunity for the LCU campus community to take care of each other and assist students in need.
